Salary: $53,000 - $56,000
Our Mission: Hack the Hood provides real-world, hands-on learning opportunities and mentorship that help low-income youth of color learn the skills and form the relationships they need to chart a course towards 21st century careers in online technology and social media.
Our Program: In our 6-week boot camps, youth receive training in basic computer skills, web marketing and promotion, search engine optimization (SEO), and website development, which they then use to build mobile-responsive web sites and listings for real small business clients from their own communities.
Job Summary: As we grow, we are increasing our staff capacity to work with youth on their career goals, while identifying additional resources to develop opportunities because there is also a major gap in services around career training for youth. The Career Coach will help guide our Bootcamp graduates into further educational opportunities and work experience that will lead to fulfilling and career trajectories in tech. This role will seek out on the job learning opportunities such as internships, shadowing, and networking opportunities.
