This year, Hack the Hood is embarking on our third year of the Bootcamp program with a Spring Bootcamp starting in March 2015. Applications are now open for youth who want to participate and for small business owners wanting a website. We will also be expanding our Summer Bootcamp to partner organizations in different sites all over the Bay Area.
Amid all of our activities, we’re excited to announce the release of our request for proposals for evaluation. As we grow, we are seeking an evaluation framework and dashboard that will provide timely and practical information to our funders and partner organizations to demonstrate how our program is helping to change the tech pipeline and the trajectory of low-income youth of color. We look forward to working with an individual consultant or consulting organization in what we imagine as a collaborative process to achieve an impactful, useable product that meets our needs and advances the field. The successful bidder to our RFP will start work with our evaluation project manager in March 2015 to develop an evaluation framework that will be used to assess and articulate how Hack the Hood is reaching its goals and vision, the impact of the program, and to monitor activity across our partner organizations. This framework will support the design of a database tool (dashboard) that our staff and partners can use to track and analyze activities and outcomes. Interested in working with us? Visit the post on our careers page and email project manager Kim Garcia for a copy of our RFP. If you intend to apply, please complete this form by 5pm on February 12, 2015. We will be accepting proposals until 5pm on February 23, 2015. We look forward to hearing from you! |
