Kiyomi joins Hack the Hood as our Learning and Alumni Engagement Manager. She has six years of experience in Education and is excited to bring that experience to Hack the Hood. As a teacher she has learned the art of patience, the need to be flexible and the importance of creativity.

In 2021, Kiyomi enrolled in a Software Engineering Fellowship to pursue a career as a Software Engineer but upon completion she recognized her passions to be more closely aligned to the Ed Tech Space. Kiyomi is very excited about diversifying the tech space to ensure that all people are equitably recognized in innovation.

Kiyomi enjoys caring for her plants, reading fiction, watching Disney Plus, painting, and going out to eat with her girls!
